The Wildmans on Lambeth Live, Oct 13

The Wildmans will put on the October 13 edition of Lambeth Live (heard each Friday night from 8-9 on WTJU), and you are invited to be part of the studio audience for this FREE concert broadcast!  You can of course listen to it (91.1 FM around Charlottesville, on-line at wtju.net), or even video stream it at WTJU’s Facebook page, but concerts always sound better with a studio audience!

This week’s concert will take place at The Listening Room at Studio IX, located next to Carpe Cafe in downtown Charlottesville.

The Wildmans is a family band featuring the talents of siblings Eli and Aila Wildman on mandolin, fiddle and vocals, with young banjo phenomenon Victor Furtado, and backed up by band mom Deb Wildman on bass. Highly skilled instrumentals and soulful vocals applied to traditional bluegrass tunes with a smattering of old time, blues, and jazz combine to create a fresh new sound – old tunes fueled by young spirit.

The group is based in Floyd, Virginia, a town famous for its old time and bluegrass music heritage, with a weekly Friday night jamboree that has been active for over 75 years. Performing regionally since 2011, these kids have developed a set and a presence that pleases the crowd every time they take the stage.
