Other Ways to support WTJU
QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS
If you are at least 70½ years old, you are eligible to make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your IRA(s) of up to $111,000 in outright gifts annually, including a one-time-only QCD of up to $55,000 to create a life income gift. QCDs count toward required minimum distributions, and QCDs used to make outright gifts are excluded from federal taxable income entirely.
You may direct a QCD to wtju, and you can designate the distribution for unrestricted use (to meet greatest current needs) or for other charitable purposes you select.
If you’re interested in making this kind of gift, please contact Nathan Moore: [email protected], 434-249-7564. You can also read more at UVA’s QCD info page.
STOCKS, TANGIBLE PROPERTY, AND MORE
WTJU also accepts donations of stocks, real estate, tangible personal property, and even cryptocurrency. If you’re interested in making this kind of gift, please contact Nathan Moore: [email protected], 434-249-7564.
For more about these and other giving options to WTJU, please visit the University’s “How to Give” page.
PAYROLL DEDUCTION
Workplace giving is an easy and efficient way to make tax-deductible donations to charities through payroll contributions.
For UVA faculty and staff: You can conveniently add Voluntary Deductions right inside Workday.
Once you are on the page, simply click on the “Add” button located in the top right corner under the Voluntary Deductions heading.
If you require more assistance, please watch this brief tutorial.
