Writing a will ensures that you’ve done everything you can for your family and for the causes and organizations you care about.
WTJU is the heartbeat of our community. Year after year, it supplies top-notch music curation, live performances, youth education, and a sense of belonging — for you and for everyone connected to this place. WTJU doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a small paid staff and hundreds of volunteers, people dedicated to serving and nurturing our community through radio.

What is a Will?
A will is a legal document that explains how you would like your property and assets allocated after your death. You can appoint someone (a loved and/or trusted person) to be executor, who will carry out your will. The executor will be authorized by a court to oversee the distribution of your property and assets, and final wishes to be distributed to your beneficiaries.
Wills are important regardless of your wealth. A will also helps to protect your children, your pets, and your legacy — while saving your loved ones stress and uncertainty.
Your family does not get to make decisions for you if you don’t write them down. Instead, the government does, and often slowly, while costing money from your estate.
Writing a will can take less than 30 minutes and several reputable websites offer free will creation.
