Sudden Jazz Overtime! Please donate to the 2022 Jazz Marathon
Author: WTJU
From Sept 26 – Oct 2, 420 people donated to WTJU’s Jazz Marathon. If you’re one of them, thank you so much!
That said, we’re hoping for 450 donors to keep jazz & blues alive and thriving. So we’re entering: Sudden Jazz Overtime. Here at WTJU, overtime gives YOU the chance to support your favorite radio station – even after the Jazz Marathon week.
Will you help? Please give today.
Listen to Jazz Marathon shows for two weeks from their airdate in the Recent Shows archive.
WTJU is different. We’re a free public service dedicated to sharing the transcendent experience of jazz & blues – while counting on listeners like you to provide the funding to make it possible.
Keep the sound of jazz & blues loud and clear in Charlottesville. Please tune in and support WTJU’s Jazz Marathon – Monday, September 26th through Sunday, October 2nd.
This year, WTJU’s Jazz Marathon serves up seven days of extraordinary jazz and blues around the clock. We’re doing deep explorations of artists across the spectrum of jazz – from Charles Mingus to Betty Davis to Allen Toussaint. We’re also remembering jazz greats lost to COVID-19.
We’re also airing live jazz and blues performances every night at 8 p.m. – including iconic Charlottesville artists John D’earth, Jamal Millner, Chickenhead Blues Band, Ivan Orr, Michael Elswick Gathering, Zuzu’s Hot 5, and Hard Swimmin’ Fish.
Plus a brand new t-shirt, designed by WTJU DJ (and artist) Jenn Lockwood!
