    Notes: Has also appeared on quite a few best-of lists this year. The band's fourth studio album, sees them continuing to incorporate an eclectic blend of influences.

    Notes: Penned by Barry and Robin Gibb for the 1975 Bee Gees album Main Course.
12. "I Can't See Nobody" - Bee Gees - Bee Gees' 1st [Atco Records: 1967]
    Notes: Actually the band's third LP. Shout out to the Wowsville crew for their lush early Bee Gees art pop show at the end of the Classical Marathon.
13. "The Dead of Night" - Depeche Mode - Exciter [Mute: 2001]
14. "How Bad Do U Want Me" - Lady Gaga - Mayhem [Interscope: 2025]
    Notes: Many are viewing this as a return to form for Gaga (a la Fame Monster). The album has no shortage of darker, spookier pop rock, but I picked a dreamier one where she's actually out-Swifting You Know Who.
15. "Acid Rain" - Model/Actriz - Pirouette [Dirty Hit: 2025]
    Notes: Their follow-up to 2023's excellent Dogsbody, which was on my list of faves that year. The band also had their television debut on Colbert in the summer. See this band live if you can.
16. "Left for Tomorrow" - Perfume Genius - Glory [Matador: 2025]
    Notes: Had less of an instant appeal for me than some of PG's other work but has rewarding subtleties that gradually reveal themselves.
17. "Somewhere Between An Atom And A Star" - The London Suede - Antidepressants [BMG: 2025]
    Notes: The Francis Bacon-themed cover hooked me instantly, and the band still sounds very vital with great attention to detail. After a hiatus Suede reformed for charity in 2010 and has been releasing albums ever since.
18. "The Truth (ft. Ghost Train Orchestra)" - David Byrne - Who Is The Sky? [Matador: 2025]
    Notes: An album full of intriguing little observations about the absurdity of life. The title is a voice-to-text butchering of "Who is this guy?" With guest appearances by St. Vincent, Hayley Williams, and Tom Skinner of The Smile.
19. "Modern Lust" - Oneohtrix Point Never - Tranquilizer [Warp Records: 2025]
    Notes: Daniel Lopatin, who has been active since the early 2000s and releasing albums on Warp Records since 2013. Has done notable film scores including Uncut Gems (2019).
20. "Demolition" - Marie Davidson - City of Clowns [Deewee: 2025]
    Notes: I stumbled on Marie Davidson as the soundtrack of a fashion runway video on YouTube. Then I received her in my Bandcamp feed. I love her attitude and inclination to deliver sentiments that feel uncommon for dance music.
21. "Loose Talk" - Amelia Barratt & Bryan Ferry - Loose Talk [Dene Jesmond Records: 2025]
    Notes: A fascinating fusion of Glaswegian performance artist Barratt's observational poetry and Ferry's moody soundscapes.
22. "Bad as Bingo" - Scissorgun - Scream if You Wanna Go Faster [self-released: 2025]
    Notes: Discovered this band through the new release emails that come to the station and wondered where in the world they'd been my whole life! Their sound textures are very appealing.
23. "Bullies" - Richard Dawson - End of the Middle [Weird World: 2025]
    Notes: "English progressive folk singer-songwriter from Newcastle upon Tyne. Writes narrative-based folk songs with experimental structures, and has received acclaim for his storytelling capabilities, emotional depth and sense of humour." (Wikipedia) Dawson has put out nine solo studio albums and has an electronic music side project called Eye Balls.
24. "Idiot Box" - Sharon Van Etten - Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory [Jagjaguwar: 2025]
    Notes: I saw Sharon Van Etten play in town over a decade ago and she made fascinating use of an autoharp. It has been interesting to see where her career has taken her. This album made the best-of list of my former Limerence Addiction co-host, B-Note.
25. "Paralysis" - Jaguardini (ft. Rodgers Dameron) - Temper [self-released: 2025]
    Notes: Very hardworking and innovative DIY artist out of Harrisonburg. Mickey Sharp, an artist from FL, is a new addition to Jaguardini and takes an already great thing to soaring heights.
