This series is designed to give you a visual representation of the many labels that The Rum Cove features on his long running Soulful Situation broadcast, which airs Mondays, 12 – 2 p.m., on WTJU 91.1 FM or streaming at wtju.net.
Nashville’s Sound Stage 7 label was a subsidiary of Monument records as a pop label. Legendary and pioneering radio host John R took over in 1964 and made it an R&B label, releasing many fine sides until 1970. Joe Simon was the only artist to shift units. This sleeve was used 1964 through 1970.
