The Charlottesville Zine Fest is a multimedia community engagement project amplifying diverse voices through the creation and celebration of zines. The project culminates in a festival at the Bridge PAI Underground, September 9th, 12 – 4 p.m., where zine makers can share and celebrate their work. WTJU will be at the Zine Fest presenting Under the Table and Screaming, a new zine series about the Charlottesville music scene, researched and written by local journalist, musician, and WTJU Rock host, Erin O’Hare. WTJU’s Odd Little Museum will turn into a mobile zine library at the festival, and WTJU Vinyl Takeover DJs (Sister Pirate Jenny, Erin O, and DJ Al) will spin vinyl at the event.
