Special Vaughan Mairs Tribute, June 28

By Folk Department

Vaughan Mairs, noted musician around Central Virginia and beyond, passed away this past Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.  Known to many as one of the founding members of Mando Mafia, as well as member of Scuffletown, Vaughan was a longtime fixture in the Central Virginia music community.  Sunset Road, heard each Friday afternoon from 4-6 on WTJU (91.1 FM, and streaming worldwide at wtju.net/player), will devote the entire June 28 program to Vaughan’s music.
