By WTJU Rock

Date: 10/19/2024

Time: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Third Rail welcomes Chloë Ester, live on the WTJU Stage. This free event is open to all at 2244 Ivy Rd. Doors are at 7:30 p.m. and show begins at 8:00 p.m. sharp. You can also listen on 91.1 FM, stream via wtju.net, and video stream on WTJU’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Third Rail is supported by Hello, Goodbye Records in downtown Charlottesville.

Chloë Ester’s distinctive style is informed by indie, dream pop, bubblegrunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock sounds. Based in Charlottesville, her songs have been described as introspective, cynical, delicate, dark, and sarcastic. She delivers crushingly vulnerable lyrics with a clear, magnetic voice and blistering directness, often obsessing over fear, trauma, love, and its absence.

Chloë has been playing locally for over 10 years, but first formed a band in 2020; the current members are Garrett Moore (drums), Ryan Lee (lead guitar), and Jacob Sommerio (bass).

“This C’ville-native singer-songwriter is a storyteller with a penchant for soliciting sorrow. She’s been called ‘Melanchloë’ by her peers in the scene, but Chloë Ester brings the full spectrum of emotions to bear throughout her setlist.” -Cville Weekly
