Rum Cove’s 45 RPM Label History: King Records

By Rum Cove

This series is designed to give you a visual representation of the many labels that The Rum Cove features on his long running Soulful Situation broadcast.

King Records of Cincinnati, Ohio, was the first independent record label, founded in 1943. This sleeve was used between 1958 and 1962 when Hank Ballard & The Midnighters were their top selling artist.
