By Rum Cove
This series is designed to give you a visual representation of the many labels that The Rum Cove features on his long running Soulful Situation broadcast, which airs Mondays, 12 – 2 p.m., on WTJU 91.1 FM or streaming at wtju.net.
Invictus Records of Detroit was formed by the songwriting team of Holland/Dozier/Holland when they left Motown due to contractual disputes. From its start in 1968, until it folded in 1972, they had many hits by Freda Payne, Chairman of the Board, and others.
