Rum Cove’s 45 RPM Label History: Dot Records

By Rum Cove

This series is designed to give you a visual representation of the many labels that The Rum Cove features on his long running Soulful Situation broadcast.

Dot Records was a Pop and Country & Western label formed in Gallatin Tennessee in 1951. This sleeve was used between 1956 and 1951. It had few Rhythm & Blues releases but this Arthur Alexander record is considered the first Country Soul song.
