Oliver the Kid explores Roger Miller on Country Spotlight, May 6

By WTJU

WTJU’s youngest deejay, Oliver the Kid, returns this Thursday afternoon, May 6, at 1 (edt) with another Country Spotlight.  This month he will explore the sounds of Roger Miller, an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, widely known for his honky-tonk-influenced novelty songs and his chart-topping country and pop hits “King of the Road”, “Dang Me”, and “England Swings”, all from the mid-1960s Nashville sound era.

Country Spotlight airs the first Thursday each month at 1 pm during Cosmic American Jamboree, and can be heard over the air at 91.1 FM, streaming at wtju.net, or by asking your smart speaker to “Play WTJU.”
