7. "Tislami Tislami" - El Khat - Mute [Glitterbeat: 2024]
   Notes: Formed in the garages and warehouses of Jaffa and now based in Berlin, the group's ever-expanding vision makes a defiant stand against complacency, conflict and division. Skittering drums and brass, a jagged organ, hypnotic Yemeni melodies and one-of-a-kind DIY percussion and string instruments, all meld together in an infectious, heady soundscape.
8. "The Noise" - Antrobus/Glennie - Another Noise [Toy Gun Murder Records: 2024]
   Notes: Raymond Antrobus and Evelyn Glennie%u2019s new album, Another Noise, is a first-time collaboration between the two most famous, living deaf musicians in the world. The album was recorded 100% live in a single UK afternoon without rehearsal and with almost every track being a first take. Glennie's parts were 100% improvised without her having prior knowledge of any poem performed. One track -'The Noise' - features guest vocals from blind singer, Precious Perez, who is the current President of RAMPD.org who fight for stage accessibility and other rights for disabled performers in music.

    Notes: Mike Stern, a living legend of fusion jazz and jazz guitar, is featured on guitarist Varre Vartiainen's new album. The joint album 'Head & Heart' by Vartiainen and Stern will be released in November 2024, preceded by three singles, the first of which is 'Miked Up!'.
11. "The Lockdown Reel" - Afro Celt Sound System - single [Six Degrees: 2024]
    Notes: On Oct. 4th, Afro Celt Sound System make their long-awaited label debut on Six Degrees Records with OVA, the Grammy-nominated group's eighth studio album and the final one with their late founder at the helm -- producer and lead guitarist Simon Emmerson, who lost his valiant battle with cancer last year.

    Notes: Manu Chao unveils "Tú Te Vas (feat. Laeti)," the latest offering from his upcoming album Viva Tu coming September 20 via Because Music. New single "Tú Te Vas" which translates to "You're Leaving" in English.

    Notes: The London-based, internationally assembled instrumental four-piece Los Bitchos, releases the eagerly anticipated second album, Talkie Talkie, via City Slang.

    Notes: Recorded in Brazil over the course of 2023, Milton esperanza is a dream-come-true collaboration and musical representation of a friendship that was first kindled nearly 15 years ago.

    Notes: In this captivating collaboration, Zé Nigro and Saulo Duarte blend reggae, funk, and rock with the rich rhythms of the Amazon. Reminiscent of trip-hop groups like Zero 7, Massive Attack, and Tricky.
17. "Wallathi Wallaka Qalbi" - Wishamalii - Al-Bahr [Nordic Notes: 2024]
    Notes: The name Wishamalii refers to the Nordic way of reinterpreting the Arabic-Andalusian Muwashah chants. On their debut album 'Bahr' Wishamalii combine tradition with creativity through a selection of original melodies, specially written and arranged for the band, along with some Muwashahat. These are one of the most important vocal music forms in traditional Arabic music.
