Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Pete Spaar, legendary bassist and co-founder of the Free Bridge Quintet, will visit Jazz at 100 Now! on Tuesday, November 5 at 9:00 am to talk about the upcoming Free Bridge concert at Cabell Hall on Sunday, November 10.  Trumpeter John D’earth is stepping down from the UVa faculty at the end of the year, so this will be a bittersweet event, featuring John, Pete, drummer Robert Jospé, saxophonist Jeff Decker and pianist Calvin Brown.  The quintet will also welcome fellow faculty member and world-class flutist Nicole Mitchell as a special guest.  Please tune in.
