Piano Music She Wrote

By Ralph Graves

Roanoke-based pianist Erica Sipes joins Ralph Graves to present a selection of works composed by women. Erica’s discovered many of these composers through her project  Piano Music She Wrote. She’s also found — and performed — even more music by women composers as a member of the  Alma Ensemble.

We’ll present a mostly piano-based program that spans the centuries. Composers will include Marie Jaëll, Germaine Tailleferre, Olga Nazayinskaya, Clara Schumann, and Liza Lehmann, among others.

Tune in to WTJU on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 1 pm to 3 pm. The names may not be familiar, but the music will be first-rate.
