Interview: The Mom Journals (new play by Courtney Jett Walker)

By WTJU

WTJU spoke with playwright Courtney Jett Walker about their upcoming play “The Mom Journals.” The play will be performed virtually through Live Arts.

The work uses interwoven monologues to tell the story of five women in different stages of motherhood. Though they are worlds apart, each character shares vastly similar revelations about what it is to be a mother: What motherhood takes away, what it gives us, and how it is a life-long journey that takes just as long to process.

The play will be livestreamed (via private Zoom webinar) from January 28-31, 2021. For more information, visit: livearts.org/mom/
