WTJU Presents: Levitt AMP Charlottesville Music Series this fall

By Nathan Moore

This fall, WTJU and the IX Art Park are working together to build community through free music events.

We’re proud to present the free Levitt AMP Charlottesville Music Series: ten weeks of music, food trucks, local brews and art

WTJU’s mission is to bring people together through exceptional music, and this concert series is a tremendous way to extend our mission – and the University of Virginia’s mission – beyond just our radio airwaves. We’re thrilled to be working with the staff at the IX Art Park on this series. It’s the perfect venue for what we’re trying to accomplish.

This music series is funded in large part by a grant from Levitt Pavilions, a national nonprofit that seeks to reinvigorate America’s public spaces and ensure the performing arts are accessible to all through high quality, free concerts. The Levitt grant has enabled WTJU and the IX Art Park to book a fantastic lineup of musicians.

In addition to financial support from Levitt Pavilions, the concert series is also made possible by contributions from WTJU, the IX Art Park, the Bridge PAI, Tom Tom Founder’s Festival, CVille Sabroso, Wells Fargo, Three Notch’d Brewing Company, The Rock Barn, Henley’s of Charlotttesville and the Chalottesville Albemarle Visitors Bureau, Crutchfield, as well as our media partners C-Ville Weekly, Charlottesville Tomorrow, the Cavalier Daily and the Charlottesville Newsplex (ABC, CBS, FOX).
