Daughters of Donbas is an all-female + non-binary ensemble featuring Ukrainian singer Marichka — activist, war journalist, volunteer combat medic, and winner of the Amnesty International Award.
This musical project is dedicated to spotlighting real stories of the thousands of Ukrainian children abducted from occupied regions and taken to Russia. Combining indie pop, neo-classical, and Ukrainian folk polyphony, the program turns original compositions and ancient songs into musical artivism.
On bandura, violin, viola, cello, bass, keyboard, and soaring vocals, every performance becomes a journey through laughter, resilience, and grief. Each song is a testimony to a stolen name, a ruined childhood, and a forbidden voice.
In 2026, Daughters of Donbas presented the program worldwide and continue building toward performances in The Hague near the International Criminal Court.
