Don Harrison interviews Rod Argent of the Zombies

By WTJU

In advance of The Zombies‘ March 29th appearance at The Jefferson Theater, Radio Wowsville’s Don Harrison spoke with legendary Zombies keyboardist and songwriter Rod Argent about growing up with a father who was an aerospace engineer and jazz dance band frontman, the band’s formation in the sleepy U.K. community of St. Albans, how the young group got their assertive name (and “smart lad” image), details on the recording of the band’s classic “Odessey & Oracle” album, and how the Zombies’ 2019 induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inspired the current incarnation of the group to write new material, and SO much more.
