WTJU Set to Broadcast Opening Concert of Chamber Music Fest

WTJU will live stream the opening concert of the Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival at Old Cabell Hall, Sunday, September 7, at 3 p.m. The concert will include a newly commissioned piece by Colin Jacobsen of Brooklyn Rider.

Program:
The Times They are A-Changin’
– Bob Dylan/Colin Jacobsen
Four Quartets – Giovanni Sollima
String Quintet (composed for the Festival) – Colin Jacobsen
String Sextet in A Major, Op. 48 – Antonín Dvořák

Performers: 
Raphael Bell, Timothy Summers, Brooklyn Rider: Johnny Gandelsman, Colin Jacobsen, Nicholas Cords, Michael Nicolas

Tickets for the performance are still available and can be purchased on the Chamber Music website at the link cvillechambermusic.org, or by calling the Box Office (434-295-5395), M – F, 12:30 – 4:30 pm.
