WTJU Best of 2019: Folk & World

By WTJU

As they have for the last several years, a few of the WTJU announcers look back at some of their favorite 2019 releases (with one or two late 2018 and early 2020 pre-releases making the cut).  Because there were so many wonderful releases by local acts, most of the announcers chose to limit their lists to those outside the Charlottesville area.

Click on the respective names below for the lists, and see videos from a few of the acts which made their way to multiple lists.
John Bates (World Turning)
Alex Davis (Atlantic Weekly II)
Rebecca (Eclectic Woman)
Goldfinger (Reggae Vibrations)
Peter (Folk & Beyond)
Steve Kindig (Atlantic Weekly I)
Steve Kindig (Beyond Borders)
Dave Rogers (Professor Bebop) on Blues & Soul
Dave Rogers (Professor Bebop) on Jazz
David Soyka (Jumpin’ on the Bed)
