   Notes: Born in Lahore, Pakistan, and raised in New York City, ZAINAB’s (pron. Zah-nub) ethos as a DJ and producer is shaped by the energy of both cities—global in spirit yet deeply local at heart. Having sharpened her productions through a series of successful club edits, ZAINAB (FKA ZEEMUFFIN) now turns toward original music, with “Jadoo” the first in a series of releases forthcoming on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint.
6. "Sababa" - Baklava Express - Sababa [Baklava Express: 2026]
   Notes: The music of the Brooklyn-based group Baklava Express suggests the soundtrack of an open-air Mediterranean market. It’s high-energy music that blends ancient and modern instruments. These are all original songs, but the rhythms and melodic lines may, at one moment, evoke Turkish, Greek, or Armenian traditions, and then, just as naturally, turn on a dime to reference Arab, Mizrahi and Sephardi folk music, or make discreet nods to jazz, flamenco, or rock.
7. "Take Flight " - Amrita - Amrita [Amrita: 2026]
   Notes: Amrita, the Toronto duo of Anita Katakkar (tabla) and Kayla Milmine (soprano saxophone). They've been following a singular path toward their pared-down hybrid of Hindustani Music, jazz, and improvised music—intricate rhythms collide with explorations of color; spacious, and evocative passages punctuate virtuosic propulsion.
8. "Vai Que Depois Eu Vou" - Pedro Volta - Retrosambas [Brasil Discos: 2026]
   Notes: São Paulo singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Pedro Volta releases Retrosambas, a 10-track album that explores Brazilian musical tradition through a contemporary lens. Built from original compositions and carefully selected reinterpretations, the record moves through the worlds of pre- and post-Bossa Nova songwriting, bridging eras of Brazilian music with a refined, modern sensibility rooted in live performance and organic sound.
9. "Si nos dejan o no" - Tufic & Lupita Infante - single [Altafonte: 2026]
   Notes: In “Si Nos Dejan O No,” Tufic joins forces with Lupita Infante, the recognized and beloved Mexican-American singer-songwriter who specializes in regional Mexican music and who is known as the granddaughter of the iconic Pedro Infante.
10. "Na Chincha" - Xauim - Afro-Brazil [Putumayo: 2026]
    Notes: Salvador-based producer and musician Xauim, combines Afro-Brazilian percussion and catchy melodies with lyrics that reflect his cultural heritage, history, city life, and sharp social commentary.
11. "Jacuma" - Tracundum - Afro-Brazil [Putumayo: 2026]
    Notes: Tracundum formed in 2019 with the aim to create axé music with a more compact format, blending reggae, rock and electronic music with the percussive drive of Afro-Brazilian popular music.
12. "Voo da Tarde" - Moreira/Bacelar/Purim - Maracanos [Jasmin Music: 2026]
    Notes: Maracanós is a cross-generational Brazilian jazz collaboration between percussion pioneer Airto Moreira and pianist, composer, and producer Ricardo Bacelar, featuring legendary vocalist Flora Purim.
13. "Konopa" - Neha! - Svetu [CPL-Music: 2026]
    Notes: The group was formed in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia, when the singers found in each other a safe haven of joy, support, and ongoing artistic growth. Neha! was founded by Zuzana Vranka Žiaková, who recognized the potential in each member to create an extraordinary project. Diversity, unconventionality, commitment, and courage define both the music and the personality of every singer.

    Notes: The Iranian-born and now California-based singer, releasing her first album since the acclaimed 2012 album Goblet of Eternal Light, has created a passionate and unprecedented ode to her Persian classical roots, with great reverence for the ancient radif tradition and free of the restrictions she had faced as a female singer in Iran.
16. "Feed The Fireflies" - Hannah Peel & Beibei Wang - The Endless Dance [Real World: 2026]
    Notes: Both genre-defying, storied artists in their own right, Ivor Award winning and Mercury Prize nominated Northern Irish producer and composer Hannah Peel, and Chinese percussionist Beibei Wang originally met while working on Manchester Collective’s 2023 album NEON, and soon after performed a fully improvised show at Kings Place in London, as part of Peel’s residency.
17. "Night Turns" - Karsh Kale - Dust [Six Degrees: 2026]
    Notes: In 2026, Karsh Kale returns with his most ground-breaking and genre bending album to date, DUST, his first full-length solo album in ten years. Born from a desire to reconnect with a "childlike creativity," the project began not in a studio, but on canvas. Kale spent months creating 28 paintings that served as the visual prompts for the album’s compositions, which he then developed on the piano before moving into the many soundscapes he is known for as well as many that he delivers for the first time.
