"Metamorphose"
-
Mativetsky Amiri Page -
Metamorphose [Fifth House: 2026]
Notes: The group not only presents an unusual instrumental combination; it's also a setting where each player brings a unique set of musical experiences to the table. The result is an exploratory sonic marriage uniting Indian and Persian classical traditions, and elements pulled from folk, and improvised/ experimental realms. -
"Cumbia de los Amigos"
-
Orquesta Failde/La Sonora Dinamita -
single [Altafonte: 2026]
Notes: The Cuban multi-Latin Grammy-nominated Orquesta Failde joins forces with the legendary La Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín to present “Cumbia de los Amigos.” This single, which fuses the power of Cuban brass with the iconic rhythm of Colombian and Mexican cumbia, is a “sonic embrace” designed as the new anthem for celebrations and friendship. -
"Jant"
-
Dady Thioune (Senegal) -

"Dhannahen"
-
Umaisha (Maldives) -
Love Songs Around the World [Putumayo: 2026]
Notes: Born and raised in Malé, the capital of the Maldives, Umaisha is a singer-songwriter whose music reflects a life shaped by island culture and migration. Now based in Chicago, she writes songs that move between her two homes, drawing from folk-rock traditions as well as the melodies and heritage of the Indian Ocean region. The Maldives, a nation of coral atolls scattered across the Indian Ocean, has a strong oral storytelling culture, and this narrative sensibility runs through Umaisha’s work. -
"Drop Top"
-
Palor Greens -

Notes: This dream-team of seasoned pros features organist Adam Scone (Scone Cash Players, The Sugarman 3), guitarist Jimmy James (True Loves, and formerly of Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio), and drummer Tim Carman (Canyon Lights, and formerly of GA-20). -
"Been Undone (Dark-Side Mix)"
-
Peter Gabriel -
single [Real World: 2026]
Notes: “I’m delighted to say that tonight, at the full moon, we will be beginning another year of full moon releases under the name o\i. The songs are a mix of thoughts and feelings. I have been thinking about the future and how we might respond to it. We are sliding into a period of transition like no other, most likely triggered in three waves; AI, quantum computing and the brain computer interface. Artists have a role to look into the mists and, when they catch sight of something, to hold up a mirror”. -
"Maailman synty (The World Begins)"
-
Ida Elina -
single [Bafe's Factory: 2026]
Notes: Bafe's Factory has signed IDA ELINA - singer-songwriter and kantele artist known for her bold fusion of Nordic tradition with modern pop and cinematic soundscapes. She is also an award-winning film composer. -
"Rusalka"
-
Daughters of Donbas -
Songs of Stolen Children [Six Degrees: 2026]
Notes: Daughters of Donbas is a Ukrainian musical project (or "artivism" project) focused on raising awareness about children abducted during the Russo-Ukrainian war, featuring Marichka and produced by Daniel Rosenberg. They released their debut album, Songs of Stolen Children, in early 2026, combining folk traditions with modern, electronic elements to amplify voices of loss and resilience. -
"Lamentation"
-
Kronos Quartet -
Forgive Us For [Phenotypic: 2026]
Notes: ‘Forgive Us For’ captures Kronos Quartet at its most urgent and human. Journeying through Palestine, Iceland, and Ukraine, the album amplifies voices of mercy, exile, and survival in works by Rim Banna, Hildur Guðnadóttir, and Mariana Sadovska. Each composition transforms personal and collective trauma into transcendent sound, affirming that music can both bear witness and heal. -
"Guernica Jigsaw"
-
L.Y.R. -
Dark Sky Reservation [Real World: 2026]
Notes: The musical project of UK poet laureate Simon Armitage, producer and multi-instrumentalist Patrick J. Pearson and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Richard Walters, what began as a creative correspondence experiment, once described as a ‘genre-splicing supergroup’, has gone on to become a much loved, highly prolific and very real-life band. -
"Psycho Killer"
-
Astronne -
Naive Melodies [BBE: 2026]
Notes: Naive Melodies is a bold and visionary tribute to the music of Talking Heads, reinterpreted through the lens of Black musical innovation. Curated by Drew McFadden - the creative mind behind BBE's acclaimed Modern Love (David Bowie tribute album) - and featuring incredible artists like Aja Monet, Liv.e, Bilal, Georgia Anne Muldrow, W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend to Cause Havoc), Theo Croker & Theophilius London, Wu-Lu, Rogê, Vicky Farewell, Pachyman, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Astrønne, and more - the project is far from a conventional tribute. -
"Bogota"
-
Umut Adan & Zebanis -
Baska Bahar [Six Degreess: 2026]
Notes: The album fuses Anatolian psych, electronic abrasion, field recordings, and narrative songwriting into a cohesive statement. The music is at once psychedelic, poetic, hypnotic, and danceable. -
"La Carte"
-
Barezzi -
Barezzi [Home Records: 2026]
Notes: The Barezzi Brothers, created in Brussels in 2016, are a world-music and progressive ensemble rooted in Andalusian Gypsy and Manouche influences. The group began as a trio with guitarists Louis Henry and Robin Rees, joined by percussionist Thanas Kas, who met through their shared connection to Jazz. -
"Be Brave in the Face of Death"
-
Himba Hymn Collective -
Ghosts of Namibia's Skeleton Coast [Sublime Frequencies: 2026]
Notes: The Namib desert is the oldest in the world. Therefore, the driest. We were headed to the far northwest, a mountainous region, “the place where you can see the rain,” in reference to the moisture that so rarely graces the land. As a counterbalance to ethnocentric cliches, we’d come to record with possibly the most photographed people on earth, the Himba— to listen rather than gaze at them as if on display. To share their voices as a counter to their visual objectification, particularly the inappropriate eroticization of the women who customarily go topless throughout daily life. -
"Dh'eirich Mi Moch Madainn Cheothar"
-
Rura with Julie Fowlis -
Celtic Voices [Putumayo: 2026]
Notes: Acclaimed Scottish folk band Rura is joined on their featured song by Julie Fowlis, one of contemporary Gaelic music's biggest stars. -
"Oran Boisdale"
-
Mary Beth Carty -
Celtic Voices [Putumayo: 2026]
Notes: Nova Scotia singer and multi-instrumentalist Mary Beth Carty draws on the rich Scottish Gaelic heritage of Cape Breton, bringing its traditional folk songs to life with her own warm and distinctive arrangements. -
"Bland Stenar"
-
Fauna -
Taiga Trans [Glitterbeat: 2026]
Notes: Taiga Trans, the debut album from Fauna, is a hypnotic collision of krautrock propulsion, psychedelic ritual, and subterranean rave energy. The eight-piece Swedish outernational collective channels a multicultural, multidimensional sound that feels both deeply rooted and otherworldly. Think Goat’s feral mysticism, Can’s motorik drive, and a dancefloor at its most transcendental. -
"Gilu!"
-
Mariana Sandovska & Vesna -
You Should Live! [CPL-Music: 2026]
Notes: In January 2022, I began working on a new project with my VESNA colleagues Christian Thomé and Markus Braun. We exchanged ideas, improvised, and explored new sound worlds — rhythms, textures, and melodies rooted in tradition yet open to experimentation. Then, on February 24, 2022, Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine — my home country. Everything changed. For a long moment, music felt irrelevant. How could we continue creating while war was unfolding at home? Yet the deeper question was how I could help my people survive. While members of my family and friends joined the defence forces in Ukraine, I became an activist in Germany. Together with fellow artists, we organized fundraisers, supported refugees, coordinated humanitarian aid, and suddenly found ourselves learning about bulletproof vests, night-vision devices, and drone equipment. -
"Oyaya"
-
Angelique Kidjo -
HOPE!! [Parlophone: 2026]
Notes: Since Angélique Kidjo first burst onto the global scene over four decades ago, her music has provided a powerful transmission of pure unfettered joy. On HOPE!!, Kidjo offers up a revelatory body of work affirming her as a truly essential artist—one whose unbridled joy serves as a unifying force, a conduit for healing, and a much-needed antidote to despair in troubled times.
