Greg Brown will stop by WTJU Wednesday afternoon, September 6, around 4 to go track by track through his new album, Fire and Rain (out September 12). Something New airs Wednesday afternoon from 4-7 at 91.1FM and streaming at wtju.net.
Greg Brown’s new solo acoustic album “Fire and Rain” which was recorded in April at the legendary Sun studios in Memphis will be available September 12 via streaming platforms. Recorded with 5 mics, one in the doorway to include rain sounds (this was right after a tornado warning) and traffic, a few room mics, one mic on the guitar and one that went into one of Sam Phillips’ old tape machines. When you listen to this, Greg really wants you to feel like you were in the studio with him. Each track is mixed differently to reflect the tune.
