This show is open to a public audience. You can also listen on the radio (91.1 FM), on-line (wtju.net), or via live stream on WTJU’s Facebook or YouTube channels. While the show is free, it is part of the Rock Marathon. Donations are encouraged!
Charlottesville locals Films on Song are a post punk band offering up slightly dreamy, slightly shoegaze-y, and always catchy pop songs inspired by various indie legends. The band was founded by Jonathan Teeter and Francis Mckee who linked up via Craigslist in 2019. Both expressed a similar interest and dedication to music that is off kilter to what you might hear in the area. Since then, they have been writing and performing songs which combine influences of shoegaze, dreampop, and indie rock. The band is currently a 5 piece with Erin O on bass (WTJU Rock DJ on Ye Olde Tuesday Afternoon Rocke Show, 2 – 4 p.m.), Max Bollinger on drums, and Carolyn Duren on keys.
WTJU is located at 2244 Ivy Rd in Charlottesville, right next door to Vivace. There is plenty of parking, both in our lot as well as the Sentara lot next door.
