Music & Theory of Roland Wiggins at 2244 Ivy

Roland Wiggins, influential teacher to jazz legends John Coltrane, Yusef Lateef, Billy Taylor, Quincy Jones and many others, has called Charlottesvlle home for many years. Coming up Thursday afternoon, October 3, from 2-4 pm, Dr. Wiggins will explore music from some of those artists and delve into his work with them as part of this year’s WTJU Jazz Marathon. As a special treat, Dr. Wiggins will do this program on the performance stage, and you are invited to be part of the studio audience!
