Virginia has primary elections on June 11. Here in the Charlottesville area, the primaries matter a lot.

WTJU & WXTJ co-hosted candidate forums for Charlottesville City Council and General Assembly House District 57. If you missed these live events, listen to the audio below.

Charlottesville City Council

On Monday, May 6, we held a forum with the five Democratic candidates vying for a seat on the Charlottesville City Council: Bob Fenwick, Sena Magill, Michael Payne, Brian Pinkston, and Lloyd Snook.

Virginia House, District 57

With longtime representative David Toscano’s retirement, there will be a new face representing Charlottesville in the General Assembly next year. On Wednesday, May 15, we hosted a forum with the two candidates running for Virginia House District 57: Kathy Galvin and Sally Hudson.
