WTJU currently has two full-time job openings in Charlottesville, VA:
Business Support Account Executive
WTJU has handled business sponsorship sales on a part-time basis for a few years now, and we’re looking to grow this department with a new, full-time position. This is a full lifecycle sales position, from cold calls to developing proposals to closing the deal, writing copy, and servicing accounts. The position requires excellent communication skills, lots of initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid format (on-site and remote). The compensation package for this position will include a base salary plus a monthly performance-based bonus, as well as generous University of Virginia benefits. Read more and apply here.
Business Coordinator
WTJU Radio is looking for a full-time Business Coordinator to handle its accounting, finance, administrative, procurement, and grants administration tasks. The Business Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the financial and operational stability of WTJU within the broader UVA structure. Qualified candidates will know Excel and have a good head for numbers. Candidates should also have a strong ability to learn new software platforms and to stay task-oriented even when not closely supervised. Position is eligible for hybrid schedule, but some on-site work is required. Anticipated hiring range is $17-23.50/hour plus generous University of Virginia benefits. Read more and apply here.
