Wowsville Welcomes The Yardbirds!

Radio Wowsville is having a rave up with The Yardbirds this Sunday at 11 p.m.!
In addition to presenting some of the Yardbirds’ best music, host Don Harrison will feature an in-depth interview with Jim McCarty, the founding drummer of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame band.
The reconstituted Yardbirds are slated to perform at the Tin Pan in Richmond on Tuesday, March 3.
The Yardbirds were known for their timeless pop hits (“For Your Love,” “Heart Full of Soul”), as well as helping to create psychedelia and set the stage for heavy metal (“Shapes of Things,” “Happenings Ten Years Time Ago’). The group also served as a launching pad for three of rock music’s most celebrated guitarists – Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page.
Radio Wowsville will take flight with two hours of Jim McCarty and the Yardbirds on WTJU 91.1 FM and streaming at wtju.net.
