Third Rail Presents Ladygod

Date: 07/15/2023

Time: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Third Rail presents Richmond lo-fi psych garage-rock band, Ladygod, in the second installment of WTJU Rock‘s new music series. This free event is open to all at 2244 Ivy Rd on July 15, 8 – 9 p.m. You can also listen on 91.1 FM, stream via, and video stream on WTJU’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

“Ladygod seems to be at a similar intersection to Reed and The Velvet Underground: toeing the line of grandiose popularity while not fully selling out, and connecting with audiences who see themselves in Ladygod while also reaching broader audiences who may not feel how they feel.” – M.K. Koszycki, District Fray Magazine

“Ladygod’s… “Trash Medium” was recorded to tape with [singer-guitarist Skye Handler’s] bandmates in his home studio. Each of the album’s 21 tracks feels like flipping a dial on a radio that’s all tuned to a similar but slightly different wavelength. ‘Everything is adrenaline-pumped, everything is a little bit hyped up and everything almost has multiples of itself,’ Handler says.” – Rudi Greenberg, Washington Post
