In Rememberance: “The Beauty of Dawn Thompson” rebroadcast (LISTEN)

By Lewis Reining

Possessed of a graceful beauty of lyric and delivery, the late vocalist and composer Dawn Thompson brought her unique musical gifts to numerous projects with John D’earth and friends. But there is more to the story, as Dawn was the driving force in bringing John and drummer Robert Jospe to Charlottesville in the 1970s. John will join host Rus Perry in celebration of and tribute to one of the great ladies on the jazz scene.

This is a rebroadcast of their tribute show from 2011.
