Join us for WTJU Rock’s monthly Third Rail series on October 18, presenting SOLD KINGDOM––rust-stained, observational art pop by Leia Alexandra Manuel. This free event is open to all at 2244 Ivy Rd. You can also listen on 91.1 FM, stream via wtju.net, and video stream on WTJU’s YouTube channel.
Manuel’s project disturbs splashy piano melodies and intimate vocals with snarling synths and existential dread. It’s fueled by a lyric from Fleetwood Mac at their most embattled: “Rulers make bad lovers. Better put your kingdom up for sale.”
