Jeff Sweatman will stop by WTJU Wednesday afternoon, October 19, to go track by track through “All The Best…From 6 ft Away: A Charlottesville Tribute to John Prine”. The album features numerous artists from around Central Virginia, including Sweatman, covering some of their favorite Prine songs. Something New airs Wednesday afternoon from 4-7 at 91.1 FM, and streaming at wtju.net.
There will be a concert celebrating the life and music of John Prine this Sunday evening at Rivanna River Company in Charlottesville. The concert will feature Koda & Marie, John Kelly, Gina Sobel, Sally Rose, Devon Sproule, Sarah White, Susan Munson, William Howard, Davina Jackson, FarAway, Rob Cheatham, Michael Clem, Kai Crowe-Getty, Tucker Rogers, Jamal Millner, Jim Waive, Emily Morrison, and more. Proceeds from this show support The Front Porch.
