Offstage, On-Air is a weekly show highlighting central Virginia’s vibrant classical music community. Each week you’ll hear conversations with local classical musicians, learn about upcoming concerts, and enjoy artist-curated playlists. This week’s guest is Alex Christie, a composer, performer and artist who is currently a PhD student in and the Technical Director of the Composition and Computer Technologies Program at UVA.
They’ll talk with Alex about the 2023 edition of the TechnoSonics Festival, which will run for 24 hours in the Dome Room of the Rotunda from February 3 at noon to February 4 at noon. Each year the festival brings new music, art, artist presentations and installations to Charlottesville, and this year’s edition is no exception, with 7 concerts and 3 artists talks over 24 hours.
