The Onlies only heard on Sunset Road, December 4

The Onlies, fast rising stars in the old-time music world, will be interviewed on Sunset Road this Friday afternoon at 4 (est) to talk about and play cuts from their new self-titled album.  Sunset Road is heard every Friday afternoon from 4-6 on WTJU (91.1 FM, streaming at wtju.net, or by asking your smart speaker to “Play WTJU“).

Three of the members, Riley Calcagno, Sami Braman and Leo Shannon, all from Seattle, WA,  came together to form the band in 2006 when their ages were all in the single digits, to be joined in 2016 by Vivian Leva, from Lexington VA. In 2017, the band won the prestigious old-time band competition at West Virginia’s Appalachian String Band Festival. The new cd, the band’s fourth, was produced by Caleb Klauder (Foghorn String Band), and they are joined on the album by Nokosee Fields (Western Centuries) on upright bass.
