Jack Town USA – The Capital City Of American Music (Freegal Music) – This is a very interesting CD with Multiple Artist from Jackson, Mississippi. With artist such as Jacktown Sons, Dexter Allen, Eddie Cotton, Four Washington, Stevie J. Blues, Zac Harmon, Chad Wesley and Rashad The Blues Kid. This CD is typically joined with a book about the history of Soul and Blues in Jackson.
Mississippi McDonald – Slim Pickin (Blind Raccoon)– If you like acoustic blues, you will like this one from Mississippi McDonald. Mostly originals but a few covers that should get your toe tapping. Mississippi McDonald on Guitar and Vocals, Brent Cundall on Bass and Phil Dearing on Keys, Guitars and Percussion.
