Longtime Charlottesville singer/songwriters Holly Renee Allen and Susan Munson will stop by WTJU Tuesday afternoon, August 15, at 5 for a live session during the second hour of Around This Town (4-6pm every Tuesday at 91.1FM and streaming at wtju.net).
Started by Holly Renee Allen and Susan Munson, the Neon Angels began as a festival honoring female voices. This strong collective of women songwriters and musicians from the southeast are disrupting the status quo again. This time, with ‘Neon Angels at The Batesville Market, a songwriters round highlighting new upcoming and familiar voices in Albemarle, Shenandoah, and surrounding area. The third Neon Angels showcase will feature Susan Munson (Mama Tried), Holly Renee Allen, Jen Tal, and Julia Catherine.
