Help us build a mobile studio for the people!
By Nathan Moore
“To live is to be musical, starting with the blood dancing in your veins. Everything living has a rhythm. Do you feel your music?” ― Michael Jackson
WTJU believes in the power of live music to move you and to bring communities together.
Currently, we’re working on our new mobile studio so we can host pop-up concerts throughout the Charlottesville area. We need your help.
We’re raising $3,000 through this crowd-funding site, and donations are partially matched. Funds will pay for an air conditioning unit, portable stage risers, and pro audio gear for pop-up concerts.
Donations must be received by May 10th — so DONATE TODAY!
Since last year, WTJU has been slowly renovating an old 1971 camper. This 15-foot pull-behind camper is a fantastic opportunity to take WTJU’s community radio service out into the community itself in a big way!
We’re turning the camper into a mobile recording studio + pop-up concert venue + food truck. We plan to use it both as a StoryCorps-style recording booth to record stories AND a mini-performance venue from which we can broadcast live pop-up concerts from around town.
Help WTJU bring concerts to the community! Donate before May 10th.
