When Mighty Sam passed away in 2015, we lost one of the great consistent voices in Southern Soul music. From his base in New England, Sam toured the world, bringing his unique Gospel/Blues sound to corners of the world where it had not been heard before. In this interview, we talk to him about his career in R&B at Fame in Muscle Shoals and his resurgence in the early ’90s.
