Marking COVID Remembrance Day on May 25

By WTJU

This year, radio stations around the country are marking May 25 as COVID Remembrance Day. Several WTJU hosts will mark the occasion by airing the music of some artists who have passed away.

We’ve all gone through a very difficult year. And while it’s not over, here at WTJU, we want to take a moment to pause… To remember the people in our community who have suffered, and those who have lost their lives during the pandemic.

Thank you for the support you have provided to others over the last 14 months. Thank you to the frontline workers and healthcare providers. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, who donated to a charity, who helped others when they needed it most.

WTJU is proud to be a part of this community. While we take a somber moment to reflect, we also look ahead to serving this community with music and conversation and connection.
