Born and raised in Charlottesville, Lee Bangah has been making music since the age of 12. He won the city’s Best in Black Male Hip Hop Artist award two years in a row, 2024 & 2025. A documentary about Lee Bangah called “You Never Know Me,” was released in 2022. In 2017, he wrote a song and produced a video about Charlottesville’s Vinegar Hill neighborhood. Watch it on YouTube.
