John Nash: mathematician, Nobel Laureate, healed from schizophrenia

By WTJU

John Nash-2015-0519John Forbes Nash, Princeton professor, mathematical genius and Nobel Laureate, died along with his wife, Alicia, in a taxi crash last Saturday afternoon, near Princeton, as he was returning from receiving the Abel Mathematics Prize in Norway.

His inspirational life story, including his journey to genius and into and out of schizophrenia, was portrayed in the movie “A Beautiful Mind”.

Like his mentor, Albert Einstein, he was also a huge classical music aficionado.  We’ll devote the final hour of this coming Friday’s Classical Sunrise (May 29) to some of his favorite music.  I look forward to the pleasure of your company, here on WTJU.
