UVa Jazz Ensemble is back – Friday, November 4 on Jazz at 100 Now! in the morning and live at Cabell Hall that evening
To preview the first student Jazz Ensemble concert of 2022, Director John D’earth and surprise guests will join host Russell Perry between 9:00 – 10:30 AM on Jazz at 100 Now! The concert will feature the compositional and percussion contributions of new music faculty member JoVia Armstrong and guest artist violinist Leslie DeShazor. In addition to conversation about the concert, listen for the recordings of JoVia Armstrong and Leslie DeShazor as well those of the Jazz Ensemble from their 2020/2021 infernal Resistance project.
