Jan 17 Gather ‘Round: Furnace Mountain at VA Folklife Stage (2014)

Gather ‘Round each Saturday night from 8-9 for WTJU Folk‘s concert series; both archived and live. There will be shows from The Prism Coffeehouse and VA Folklife archives mixed in with some from our announcers’ own libraries. And you never know when a live concert might pop up!  This week’s program comes from the VA Folklife Stage at the 2014 Richmond Folk Festival, and features Furnace Mountain.


And to close out the hour, we will hear a couple tunes from Lyons, Colorado band Taarka from their 2014 visit to WTJU’s Folk & & Beyond.  Taarka will actually be in town this Monday night at C’Ville Coffee for a Prism concert, and they will first stop by Back Up and Push for a visit around 4:30.
