Jacob Groopman goes “Through The Gates”, July 22
Jacob Groopman (Front Country, The War and Treaty, Rachel Baiman Band) will stop by Folk & Beyond Thursday afternoon, July 22, to go track by track through his debut album, Through The Gates, out July 15. Through the Gates is the culmination of Jacob’s focus on home recording in 2020 during the pandemic. He spent much of the year learning about recording and mixing then escaped to the mountains of North Carolina in November 2020 to record the majority of this record. He enlisted the remote help of some of his favorite musicians in Nashville to round things out and here it is! Jacob is calling it Through the Gates because 2020 forced him to take the next step in his career as an artist and finally put some of his own music out into the world.
