Howard Tate Interview 2009

By Lewis Reining

Howard Tate from Philadelphia was considered lost and unaccounted for until his rediscovery in 2003. This exceptional soul singer produced with Jerry Ragavoy some exceptional recordings in the late ’60s but by the early ’70s, his career was over. His return to the stage was cause for much celebration among soul aficionados. He passed in December 2011.
