History of Recorded Jazz : Teacher Aid

Our modified version of The History of Recorded Jazz for classrooms requires an instructor. We offer 14 lessons, presented here in historical order, following the history of recorded jazz from the 1920s to today. These lessons were modified to be independent experiences that can be taken in any order, though we recommend our default.

For each lesson we have provided a completed lesson plan, introduction & closure activities, and assessment questions. These are free to be used or modified.

If you have any questions or concerns please email us at wtju@virginia.edu.
