Ben Krakauer goes track by track through Hidden Animals

Ben Krakauer will stop by WTJU March 23 to go track by track through his new album, Hidden Animals, out March 22 on Adhyâropa Records. Folk & Beyond airs Thursday afternoon from 4-7 at 91.1FM and streaming at wtju.net.

Ben Krakauer is a banjo player, composer, and ethnomusicologist. He has written about South Asian and bluegrass music, and performs original music at the intersection of bluegrass and jazz. Ben’s current research is on pedagogy and lifelong creative practice.

He holds a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of Texas at Austin and is Assistant Professor of Music and Traditional Music Program Coordinator at Warren Wilson College. Listen to his debut solo album, Heart Lakehere. You can order his forthcoming album, Hidden Animalshere.
