John D’earth Chats with The Jazz Messenger

Trumpeter, bandleader and long-time UVA Jazz Department Director John D’earth will stop by WTJU this Friday to speak with The Jazz Messenger show host Brian Keena about some upcoming events including the UVA Jazz Ensemble’s November 9 concert, “New Beginnings”, and the Free Bridge Quintet’s November 10th concert. The FBQ concert will feature jazz super-star, flutist, and composer Professor Nicole Mitchell. John always brings a wealth of information and humor to the show, so be sure to tune in this Friday!
